REVIEW: House of Scarlett by Meghan March

December 11, 2019

Gabriel Legend is unlike any other man I’ve ever met.

He came into my life like a hurricane, shattering all my assumptions and preconceived notions.

I wasn’t prepared for him. I wasn’t prepared for any of it.

But life doesn’t wait until you’re ready.

Whatever happens next, I know one thing for certain.

I will never be the same Scarlett I was before I met him.

I can’t with this series. I’m OBSESSED. These characters, The cliff hangers, The plot, the intrigue. I’m all kinds of blown away by this story!

House of Scarlett picks up exactly where The Fall of Legend left off, so you get some key information within the first few chapters of this book. While the plot still moves along steadily, House of Scarlett is all about the development of Scarlett, Gabriel and they’re relationship. Scarlett experiences a situation that opens Gabriel’s eyes to what he really wants in life and thanks to Scarlett’s step Sister Flynn things begin to change between Scarlett and Gabriel. The heat and sexual tension between Scarlett and Gabriel is tangible. I love these two characters together!

One of the things I love more than anything in this series is Scarlett’s friends and colleagues. She’s surrounded by an incredible tribe of people who support her every decision and wish. They want the best for her and look out for her and defend her.Everyone in Scarlett's tribe, all have such different personalities but all gel so perfectly and bring the best out in each other. They challenge each other, support each other and are confidants for each other. Its the type of relationships that everyone craves. I also loved the developing relationship between her and her step sister Flynn.

Gabriel's circle of trust is a lot smaller than Scarlett's, and for good reason. In House of Scarlett you learn so much more about Gabriel's past which is heart wrenching and explains why he reacts to certain situations the way he does.

I’ve always loved every single word that Meghan March has ever written but this series is up there with her best. I've loved so many of her books but the Mount Trilogy has always been my favourite. There was something about Lachlan and Keira that always had them at the top of my list but the Legend Trilogy is something else and has surpassed the Mount Trilogy for me as my favourite Meghan March reads! I've never wanted an HEA for a couple more then I have for Scarlett and Gabriel, they deserve EVERYTHING!

The wait for The Fight For Forever is going to be seriously tough! That cliff hanger ending left me reeling and I'm so desperate to see how this impeccably written trilogy ends!

 Start the Legend Trilogy with...

We come from two different worlds.

I’m from the streets. She might as well live in an ivory tower.

I made my living with my fists. I doubt she could even throw a punch.

Our paths never should have crossed.

We never should have met.

That doesn’t change the facts.

I would sell my soul to taste those red lips.

Fight the devil himself to hear her laugh.

Burn in hell to have a single night.

Scarlett Priest shouldn’t even know men like me exist, but sometimes temptation is stronger than will.

If this is how I go down, it’ll be worth every second of the fall.
