REVIEW: Hot Cop by Sierra Simone & Laurelin Paige
You have the right to remain sexy.
Anything you say can and will be used to get you in my bed. You have the right to use my body to give yourself a delirious, life-changing orgasm. If you have trouble...don't worry, I'm a bit of an expert in that department. There's nothing 'thin' about my blue line, if you catch my drift, and trust me, I know how to put those handcuffs to good use.
Livia Ward wants a baby before she’s thirty. And even though Officer Chase Kelly is exactly the kind of cocky jerk this librarian has sworn off, he is undeniably hot. Both of them think they can give each other what they want--a few nights of fun for Officer Kelly, a no-strings baby for Livia--but this hot cop is about to learn that sex, babies, and love don’t always play by the rules.
This Book. That Cover. Holy crap.
I've never read anything by Laurelin Paige but I've read and loved Sierra Simone so I knew this book would be hot. But that hot? Damn. I had no idea what I was getting myself into!
"He feasts on me , and I feast on him. His lips devour every sweep of my tongue. His teeth are playful and nip at my jaw. His beard is rough and coarse and will leave burn marks with swollen lips, but I don’t care. I want it all. I’ll take it all. ”
Hot Cop is written in a Dual POV of Livia Ward, sexy librarian and Chase Kelly, Police Officer. Livia Ward is close to thirty and know what she wants rom her life but isn't quite sure how to get it. Chase Kelly knows what he wants from life and exactly how to get it.
The sexual tension in Hot Cop blew me away. the seamless writing blew me away. I was hooked from the first page and couldn't bear to put Hot Cop down until I'd finished the last word. I feel as if I could pick Sierra Simone's writing out of anywhere but I would struggle to pick the parts she had written in Hot Cop. Thats how good the writing was! These 2 authors gel so perfectly when they're writing. If there weren't 2 names on the cover then I would never have guessed it was written by 2 people!
Livia and Chase were such fantastic characters. I could really relate to Livia's concerns about her future and also how her past was impacting on those choices. I thought the storyline was so relevant to what females are forced into thinking with a biological clock and I absolutely loved that Livia was taking her future into her hands!
Chase was.... Chase was so damn HOT. every word out of his mouth was hot. everything he did with his mouth was hot. I'm usually the first to complain when there's too many sex scenes in a book (Clearly i have issues..) but I couldn't get enough of the Sex Scenes in Hot Cop. I went back and read some once i'd finished because I loved the chemistry that Sierra and Laurelin had created between these characters.
"His blue, blue eyes. They’re pools of cobalt, and I forget to blink when I look into them. Forget how to breathe. Forget how to look away. Now this is what they mean by ovaries exploding. Mine are exploding. They’ve exploded. Kaboom. His manly aura has sent signals to my baby-makers and caused instant combustion.”
Officer Blue Eyes stole my heart. He had me giggling, blushing, swooning and falling in love with him with every page I read! Hot Cop is one of those books you read when you need a pick me up and something togged you out of a Book Hangover which is exactly what it did for me.
If you like a quick and dirty read then Hot Cop is exactly what you need to be devouring! Chase does love a good devouring....
Meet The Authors: Laurelin Paige & Sierra Simone
USA Today and New York Times Bestselling Author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She's also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn't do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.
