Max Riley is the man of your dreams. Or at least he will be, for a price.
As his alter-ego Mister Romance, Max is a drop-dead gorgeous escort who makes romantic fantasies come to life. No sex, just swoon-worthy dates to die for, and the cream of New York's socialites can't get enough. Whether they want a dominating billionaire, bad boy with a heart of gold, hot geek, sexy biker, or best friend who loves them from afar, Max can make it all happen, but he's careful to keep his real identity a secret.
Enter investigative journalist Eden Tate. Having caught wind of the urban legend of Mister Romance from a lovestruck client, Eden is determined to publish a scathing expose on Max and his ability to swindle lonely society women out of their fortunes.
Desperate to protect his anonymity and his clients, Max challenges Eden to give him three dates. If she doesn't fall in love with him, she can run her story with his blessing. If she succumbs to his charms, the story dies.
Cynical Eden has no doubt she can resist his fake romance personas, but when the real Max admits he’s falling for her, she has to decide if the professional liar is telling the truth, or if the passionate man with the mysterious past is just one more character designed to con her out of her career-making story.

"Everything else in my life is optional, except you. You're essential."
It's no secret that I'm a huge Leisa Raven fan! Like girl crush territory! I have almost every edition available of Bad Romeo, Broken Juliet & Wicked Heart. I've read and listened to them countless times. Absorbed every word and emotion. These books have always held a special place in my heart and take up a coveted spot on my bookshelf.
Coming into Mister Romance I knew it was going to be good. I love, Love and I love Romance. Plus did you see the cover? I was already sold on the cover! When my advanced reader copy hit my kindle I put life on hold and started it immediately.
From the dedication I knew that Mister Romance was going to be special. And it was in so many ways.
This book is for everyone who's ever felt ignored and invisible.
I see you.
And you're beautiful.
Mister Romance starts off with Eden discussing with her sister Asha the mere existence of Mister Romance and the secrets that surround him. He's a myth with no real name or identity. Eden is the type of character that I think every girl can relate to at some point in there lives. She's been hurt by a man who was supposed to love her and now doesn't believe in love. She believes in one night stands and is a total cynic. There's no such thing as love at first sight as far as she's concerned and she's quite content to keep leading her life the way she has been.
Eden's a reporter working at Pulse and she's bored, unchallenged and desperate to do so much more with her life. After being dragged into her bosses office after yet another terrible article she writes, she proposes to her Boss that he should give her one last chance to right the article that will put Eden and Pulse on the maps.
And from there starts the hunt for Mister Romance.
Max comes into Mister Romance in a unique way that I thought was quite clever. He's met girls like Eden before and he knows when to spot a heart that needs healing. Not only is Max Mister Romance but he's Mister Perfect in the Book Boyfriend stakes! I fell instantly in love with Max and sometimes it was hard to pin point which lines were his and which lines were Mister Romance.
"He once told me that you could live and die within the lifetime of a good kiss, and that’s what this feels like. As if I’ve always known the shape of his mouth but never experienced it before. Like all of our interlocking parts have been biding their time, watching people come and go from our lives, until we found each other."
The sexual tension between Max and Eden was off the charts and so intense it felt tangible. I was swooning and smirking and giggling like Max was talking to me directly and Eden wasn't even in the picture! The relationship that built between Eden and Max was slow burning and poignant.
"The longer and deeper he kisses me, the more the air catches in my chest. My blood rushes, my limbs tremble, and I feel like I’m falling in slow motion, but every second, I speed up a little. His tongue is more insistent. He grips me harder. I go from caressing him to gripping him. Pulling at him. Walking the line from civilized to feral and back again."
The plot of Mister Romance took a completely different turn to what I thought it would and I was pleasantly surprised with the flow of it. I highlighted countless quotes, pages and full chapters that I've gone back and read over and over again. Mister Romance was romance perfection. Eden and Max were incredible characters that made this story phenomenal.
There's so many more reasons to tell you why I loved Mister Romance but it would give to much of the plot away! I loved the twists and turns and secrets. I loved everything! And I hope that the second book in the series is about Asha! I adored her! She's so sweet and innocent and a true romantic at heart!
Meet The Author: Leisa Rayven
Writing has always been a passion for Leisa, and even though she originally intended to be an actress, it wasn’t long into her time at drama school that she began writing plays.
Those plays were bad. Very bad. Well, her friends thought they were good, but that’s because they were always cast in them and any opportunity to be on stage was met with an obnoxious amount of enthusiasm.
Since then, she’s honed her craft, and several of her plays have been produced and toured throughout Australia.
These days, playwriting has given way to fiction writing, and Leisa’s debut novel, BAD ROMEO, was published through Macmillan New York in December 2014. The sequel, BROKEN JULIET was released in April 2015, and the final book in Leisa’s Starcrossed series, WICKED HEART, will hit bookstores and kindles on May 3rd, 2016.
The Starcrossed series has gained hordes of passionate fans all over the world, and the books have now been translated into eight foreign languages. Bad Romeo and Broken Juliet have also featured on international best seller lists in Brazil and Germany.
Leisa Rayven lives in Australia with her husband, two little boys, three cats, and a kangaroo named Howard.
(Howard may or may not be her imaginary marsupial friend. Everyone should have one.)
