REVIEW: Egomaniac by Vi Keeland

Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.

Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.

The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office.

I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills.

He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.

Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.

Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.

Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.

Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent.

I was swindled out of ten grand.

The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place.

I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind.

I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.

The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.

The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing.

And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

Review:

"Sometimes what you're looking for comes when you're not looking at all."

Every time I open a Vi Keeland book I know I'm going to get an incredible storyline with a unique plot and characters I can't help but become invested in! Vi Keeland not only writes hero's I fall in love with but heroines I can't help but fall in love with as well. Every character she writes, secondary characters included are always complex but rational. the type of people you would want in your every day life! Except some of the crazy exes!

My heart sighed. "I love it when you sweet-talk me." "Last night you loved it when I dirty-talked you."

Egomaniac begins with Drew Jagger returning home from holiday to find someone else occupying his office. That someone else just happens to be fiery red head, Emerie Rose. Drew and Emerie had instant chemistry and incredible banter!

There's something so absolutely perfect about the characters Vi creates, each character is confident, sexy and hilarious! You can't help but love every character!

Drew seems like your typical arrogant bad boy but there were so many redeeming qualities to him. Though he's quite jaded he can still see the good things in life.

Emerie is Drew's opposite in every way, always positive, always looking at the good side of everything and hopeful about everything. I want nothing more then to have Emerie as a best friend! She's just the type of person you want to surround yourself with!

Egomaniac is one of those unputdownable reads that Vi Keeland specialises in. Its best when you go in blind having only read the blurb coz really that's all you need! So if you're a seeker of spoilers, I beg you! Don't do it. Drew and Emerie needs to be experienced like all incredible books should be, without spoilers!

Egomaniac was scorching hot sexual tension from the very first page that kept my heart pounding and my lungs breathless! A book you should start in the morning if you want any sleep that night! For some reason I always start Vi's books late at night and then suffer through no sleep the next day but every extra coffee and every minute of sleep I've missed is ALWAYS WORTH IT. Vi Keeland's writing is of the highest quality and with every book she writes she just gets better and better! I have an insatiable love for every word she writes!

"It felt like she’d given me a crown. In that moment, I was a fucking king. I wasn’t sure what I’d done to deserve her, but I was greedy enough not to care. She was mine to keep."
