REVIEW: Bossman By Vi Keeland

"It was beautiful and tender, and I felt it in a place I never knew another human being could touch-my soul"

The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression.

I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.

He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.

So I told him to mind his own damn business―his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business―and went back to my miserable date.

When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.

I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.

But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us―telling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood.

My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.

When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I'd never see him again.

I mean, what were the chances I'd run into him again in a city with eight million people? Then again...

What were the chances a month later he'd wind up being my new sexy boss?

Dear Vi,

THANK YOU for writing a heroine I would be proud to be compared too. Thank you for writing a heroine who is confident, brave and know’s what she wants in life. Thank you for writing a heroine who is in a high position in the corporate world, who's passionate, goal orientated and a hard worker and who’s job is important to them and who loves the job they have and do.

Yours Truly,

A Female Boss

Every time I read a book based in the corporate world where the boss falls in love with an employee its always a Personal Assistant or Receptionist or just an Administrator with no career aspirations and who doesn’t want to be anything more then a wife and mother. It was so refreshing to read about a heroine who was passionate about there job and who wanted to succeed and be so much more then what she was. Working in the corporate world myself I know how hard it is to get ahead in male dominated industries and I couldn't put into words how much I respect Vi for writing a character who’s so strong and passionate.

Bossman was a couldn’t-put-it-down type of book, I started reading bossman at 11pm with the intention of reading a couple of chapters before I went to bed. 5 hours later I was turning the last page.

Bossman was addictive, the banter and the sexual tension was out of control! Vi has this special way of building sexual tension through banter that has me laughing out loud and cursing her for Chase not being real at the same time! The relationship that builds between Chase and Reece is brutally emotional and then at the opposite end of the scale incredibly hilarious. Both have had quite difficult pasts for different reasons and both have there own issues that they need to get over.

"He stared into my eyes like he could see inside me, It made me feel exposed, yet beautifully accepted"

I really loved both of these characters, I actually really liked all of the characters involved within the story. The first book iIread by Vi Keeland was The Baller and this had a really similar feel too it, The dynamic between the 2 characters was on point. The banter, the sexual tension, the right amount of angst. Bossman had everything I love in a story and I was thoroughly impressed with how well she pulled the entire story together.

I would highly recommend Bossman to anyone and everyone. It's a fantastic 5 star read!
